Westar Resources Ltd (ASX:WSR) is an active gold exploration company focused on delivering value to shareholders through the exploration of high-quality assets in Western Australia. Westar’s 100% owned Sandstone Projects are comprised of Gidgee North and Gidgee South that covering approximately [255]km2 and are located within the highly endowed Gum Creek Greenstone Belt. Gidgee South includes the Birrigrin Mining Centre that has historically produced grades of up to 196g/t, with over 30 shafts in the area.
The Company’s 100% owned Mt Magnet Projects are comprised of Winjangoo and Coolaloo cover 224km2 and is situated in the Murchison proximal to the Mt Magnet mining centre. The Mt Magnet which has historically produced over 6 million ounces of gold since the initial discovery.
Westar entered into an earn-in agreement with tier one gold producer Ramelius Resources over its Southern Cross gold projects that cover 60km2. Under the terms of the earn-in Ramelius may earn up to 75% interest by spending $2M, with Westar free-carried to decision to mine.
